One of the biggest lessons I was taught at the Foundation Workshop was to practice opening my heart and loving my subjects before I even photograph them, so in a way it kind of feels like cheating when I photograph people I already know, because the hard part has already been done! And when the hard part is over, the door opens for the most beautiful photos! And photography becomes incredibly fun, and I feel so much pride for the images that I create, and I want more! And it pushes me to work even harder to make the best images I can. So thank you, Molly and Mike for choosing me to be your photographer! And also for giving me the ultimate tour of Santa Cruz! We shot their Santa Cruz engagement session at Mitchell’s Cove Beach and Natural Bridges. And the most amazing thing happened, I love Charlie beagle more than any other dog in the world (and by default beagles in general), but I’m also now a HUGE fan of Dachshunds, especially when they’re named Frank and wear bowties. And I’m pretty sure Santa is bringing Charlie Beagle his first bowtie!
